At the lovely Nature School near Castlebar, Co.Mayo this March; a Permaculture weekend workshop designed to (re)connect us to our surroundings & to each other, & to up-skill for a more self-reliant way of life.
How can a permaculture approach help us to create simple solutions for sustainable living systems which meet our needs and regenerate the environment at the same time?
Come join us for a fun, lively introduction to working together to create solutions & experience a new way of looking at the world!
Over the two days we will
introduce some of the basic permaculture concepts & themes
see some applications of permaculture in a variety of contexts
raise our awareness of our own surroundings, land & people-scapes
begin to develop our own solutions: explore how we can create our own more abundant, self reliant, fair & ecological ways of living
& do some hands-on, practical work onsite.
We will be exploring both land based & other applications of permaculture (community, personal, economic) No prior knowledge of Permaculture is assumed, & you are welcome to bring along stories, maps & photos of your own homes, garden, farm, or community projects.
We will use a variety of learning methods; presentation, discussion, debate & questioning, hands-on practicals, learning by doing, observation, experiements & games. The weekend will be a fun, lively introduction to working together to create solutions & experience a new way of looking at the world!
