I love wool! So abundant & warm, & really not worth much selling from the farm so I want to use it here. I did a great felting workshop at the CELT Weekend in the Woods recently, & have been experimenting with our own sheeps wool. Our wool is fairly coarse & takes a bit of pummelling, I couldn't get these boots to finish so I'll be sticking them in the washing machine ;-) I still need to figure out a better way to wash the wool to get more of the lanolin out too. I I'm also making a peg loom which is a lovely simple tool for transforming raw wool into mats, seat cushions & other rustic woolies! I will post photo's when it is up & running. Any advice on wool washing appreciated!
